Make Way for PSP-3000

This is the first pictures of the new PSP. Sony has just released photos and announced the PSP-3000 at the Leipzig Games Convention. PSP-3000 has five-times more screen contrast to play with as well as a wider array of colours. Koller said the screen is central to the PSP experience.

The PSP-3000 has a built-in microphone too, something prompted by the success of SOCOM multiplayer games and Skype in the US.

Koller went on to say that while there may be some compatibility issues with the AC adapter, all other existing PSP accessories should work just fine.

Sony US marketeer John Koller has said the PSP-3000 will use up energy faster than the existing handheld model.

Anyway, from all reports, it seems very much like the the PSP-2000. However, Sony are saying there are new features, like the new and “improved screen that’s better outside with no glare”. Perfect when you playng with it in the sun. And also there’s a built-in mic.

You may be wondering how much this is going to cost. Well, the PSP 3000 will hit the European marketing around 15 October. And it’s going to cost around $291 USD.
